Feature 6: Scholz Beer Garden

Soon after opening his Germania Beer Garden on San Jacinto Street, between Linden (Seventeenth) and Cherry (Sixteenth) streets, August Scholz advertised it “the Oldest Beer Garden in the State.” The family lived in the nearby houses.
